Swiss/USA Artist of Persian background, Molly Yahr is presently living and working in Switzerland and the USA.
Married to an American musician from Dallas, Texas, She has two adult children. Her art studio is in Lausanne, and Mont. Pèlerin, Switzerland
Mollay Yahr is at ease in an impressive diversity of artistic mediums of painting ranging from pastoral settings, Swiss villages and vineyards, portraits, maritime environments, to nudes.
She has mastered the techniques of pencil, watercolor, oil, chalk and acrylic but she favors a mixed media approach, often using surprising mixtures of materials.
Her painting is impregnated with intense and rich celebration of colors. The compositions are of an enchanting delicacy and freshness. In her works there is an underlying discourse of silent grandeur, a reverie like vision of harmony and timelessness.
In addition to her painting career, Molly Yahr is an Arts activist and pedagogue.
In 1998 she co-founded an international arts center in Montreux, Switzerland - ACCA (Andersen Circle of Creative Arts) and was its vice-director and director of its fine arts section and art gallery.
